Get the the galbi tang (beef shortrib soup) - it is their specialty and it is outstanding. We originally ordered the ox bone soup, and the lady looked at us and commented, in Korean, "So I see you're not going to order the dish that made us fameous?" Well, with a comment like that we had to get it - the galbi tang!! And yes it is outstanding. Short rib meat is soft, tendon is tender, soup is perfectly seasoned and rich amd hearty. Kimchee is fresh and crunchy and exactly the way I love it!! I'm so glad I came here and had the galbi tang.

Welcoming atmosphere, great food, amazing service. We were not familiar enough with Korean cuisine, but waitress helped with it, made recommendations which dish to prefer at the first time, how to serve it and what to taste. Portions are huge, food is delicious. Perfect service

High quality Korean soup experience. Good portioned, though not cheap. The soup is fresh and you can season the seolleongtang to your liking. The side dishes are a good mix up to the more basic flavors with the soup.

Hangyang has been one of the must visit places ever since I found it about 15 years ago when I visited Anaheim for blizzcon. The place only serves a limited staple of Korean food but what they serve they do them so well that it's worth going just for that small menu. Over the years they expanded their menu but their staple imo is the galbi tang or beef bone soup. It comes with 2 pieces of large beef bones. The soup is delicious and is paired perfect with the mustard sauce. There are other delicious offering such as the thistle rice bowl. I'd say because of the limited menu everything is great. The parking lot can be packed especially in the weekend as all the church goes come by. Most of the clienteles are usually middle aged or older so you know they know what authentic Korean food is. The service is extremely efficient and very friendly. The place is clean just like most Korean restaurants. Nothing to complain about. Order the galbi tang and you'll be coming back.

Great portions. Great tastes. I often order Galbi Tang and pork cutlet which are delicious. Their kimchi is the best. Don't try the cold Buckwheat noodles if you are not Korean, it tastes weird to me. Their parking lot challenges me all the time.
